Our website is a digital space for collaboration about physical space. We invite you to participate  in the creation of knowledge designed to secure greater public use of New York City’s 525 or so POPS, those zoning-created plazas, arcades, and other outdoor and indoor privately owned public spaces. Here is an archive of comments from visitors like you.

Patricia Clark on 747 Third Avenue:
and in the next year, it was removed! : (
Ben on 200 Water Street:
The fish lure is gone, the colored metal seats are gone, and the rectangular pond/fountain has been filled/paved.
james deboer on 1345 Sixth Avenue:
Hi - out of curiosity - is the part of the north plaza consisting of cordoned off restaurant seating open to the public? Thank you
Lucian on 189 Bowery:
The outdoor space is currently blocked off and not open to the public.
Lengeling Joseph on 325 Fifth Avenue:
The management of 325 Fifth Avenue has permitted this couple unfettered access every day to sleep, litter, administer drugs and store their growing collection of items now for over two months. I spoke with the staff and the disavow any authority to make them move. NYC badly needs a POPS force to monitor these valuable public amenities. OR the property should be forced to close off the amount of bonus real estate they gained.
Joseph Lengeling Architect on 285 Lexington Avenue:
This space is nothing but a disaster. The owner should be required to remove all additional apartments originally granted as “bonus”
Joseph Lengeling Architect on 325 Fifth Avenue:
425 Fifth Avenue. The management has been unsuccessful or negligent in protecting this space from an unhoused couple sleeping there, taking drugs, and littering ever day.
Derek Alvarez on 52 Broadway:
This POPS is plastered with political ads. There should be no presidential political ads in this taxpayer funded private space.
Matthew Postal on 303 East 83rd Street:
At the corner is metal sculpture from 1984. Can anyone identify the artist?
Ms. Patricia Edna Hodge-Stephens on 9 West 57th Street:
Thanks!
