Our website is a digital space for collaboration about physical space. We invite you to participate  in the creation of knowledge designed to secure greater public use of New York City’s 525 or so POPS, those zoning-created plazas, arcades, and other outdoor and indoor privately owned public spaces. Here is an archive of comments from visitors like you.

Nicholas S on 26 Astor Place:
Who is responsible for cleaning these areas?
Eric P on 201 East 17th Street:
A very sad space sunken below street level.
Eric P on 1 Central Park West:
completely roped off as of 7-18-2024
John Hill on 60 Wall Street:
A recent photo of the lobby, which is being demolished/renovated but is being kept open during construction due to subway access
John Hill on 130 William Street:
A recent photo I took of the plaza. Retail space, as can be seen, is empty.
FB on 725 Fifth Avenue / Trump Tower:
As everything Trump does, this is also a scam. The garden is usually roped off and people are barred from coming in. There is a rude security guard and when you ask him when will the garden be open, he answers: “I don’t know, maybe next year”.
Gregory on 1 Court Square | Citigroup:
Many of the sprinklers in the park are pointing toward the street/sidewalk and not towards the plants and trees they are meant to water. Someone needs to turn the sprinkler heads to face the plants.
Sarah on 133 Bleecker Street:
NYU Continues to barricade the POPS from regular and disabled pedestrians.a
Jerold Kayden on 235 West 48th Street:
Is La Masseria a permitted cafe? It occupies part of the urban plaza along the north side of 48th Street.
Jeff on 133 Bleecker Street:
The police are obstructing wheelchair access to the space here with barricades.
